Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Assistant to join our Head Office Team at Wise Employment Careers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Credit Control and Sales Ledger function, working independently and as part of a small, friendly team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Conduct thorough credit checks on potential new clients and maintain accurate records.
- Debt Collection: Manage debtor days through phone and written communication, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debt.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and send statements, invoices, credit notes, and payment postings, as well as regular management reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the Credit Control and Sales Ledger function and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support Functions: Assist the Finance department as needed, including control of petty cash and other administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Assistant or Accounts Clerk, with a strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations.
- Qualifications: Part or fully qualified in accounting, such as AAT, is desirable but not essential.
