About the Role

The GAP Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our Plant and Tool division in Leith. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the workshop, ensuring the availability of plant for hire, and maintaining equipment in working order.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience working in a senior plant mechanic/fitter role, with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served. You should have sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Maximise the availability of plant for hire
  • Allocate and monitor the workload of depot fitters
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and kept in working order
  • Support and develop your team to maximise performance
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees within the depot workshop
