GKN Aerospace is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, and we're committed to making a difference in the world. We're seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join our team and play a key role in establishing a robust supply chain for our cutting-edge hydrogen systems.

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, contracting, and industrialising suppliers to deliver systems and components that meet our demanding aerospace production requirements. You will work closely with our project teams to define requirements, develop statements of work, and contract suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Addressing supply chain gaps and implementing projects to close them.
  • Collaborating with project teams to define requirements and develop statements of work.
  • Managing coordination between hydrogen project teams and procurement to ensure timely resource allocation and project delivery.
  • Working with quality teams to industrialize and mature suppliers for flight-ready production.
  • Representing the programmes in supplier, commodity, and risk reviews, ensuring strong procurement performance.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and implementing recovery plans as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining a supply chain strategy to meet project objectives in terms of product, technology, cost, and production rate.
  • Providing operational procurement support for equipment and services, in collaboration with the central procurement team.

We offer a competitive salary, £5,500 car allowance per annum, 5% bonus, single private medical cover, hybrid working, industry-leading pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday, cycle to work scheme, and employee assistance programme.
