Job Title: Capital Projects Procurement Manager

Description:

This role is a pivotal part of our team, responsible for leading all facets of Capital investment projects across UK Business Lines. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team that fosters a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The CAPEX Procurement Manager will oversee the full-lifecycle CAPEX project tender processes, particularly focusing on major assets and plant machinery. They will cultivate collaborative relationships with internal teams, legal departments, and the Global Sourcing team. Requirements include 5+ years of Procurement experience, including end-to-end strategic procurement, and a track record of procuring Capital expenditure (CAPEX). The ideal candidate will be comfortable with Excel Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS, and be agile and curious, always looking for an innovative solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategic sourcing and create negotiation strategies, ensuring comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Formulate effective sourcing strategies, and manage relationships with approved suppliers to achieve optimal cost, service, and quality
  • Oversee the full-lifecycle CAPEX project tender processes, particularly focusing on major assets and plant machinery
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal teams, legal departments, and the Global Sourcing team
  • Maintain operational continuity by managing purchasing contracts and coordinating with business units to maximize value
  • Monitor supplier performance against Service Level Agreements and provide actionable feedback to vendors
  • Promote continuous development and improvement by staying informed on market trends and introducing innovative procurement methods

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Procurement experience, including end-to-end strategic procurement
  • Track record of procuring Capital expenditure (CAPEX), with a technical mindset
  • Comfortable with Excel Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
  • Be agile and curious, always looking for an innovative solution
