About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Research Officer to join our team at The University of Manchester. As a key member of our fundraising operation, you will play a vital role in identifying and researching potential donors, providing accurate and appropriate information to support our fundraising efforts.

Reporting to the Development Research Manager, you will be responsible for deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of potential donors, suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage them, and conducting gift acceptance due diligence.

You will also manage a team of development research staff and work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds towards our appeals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential donors, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI)
  • Provide accurate and appropriate information to support fundraising efforts
  • Deploy and refine systems to support the documentation and management of potential donors
  • Suggest tailored strategies to reach and engage potential donors
  • Conduct gift acceptance due diligence
  • Manage a team of development research staff
  • Work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds
