We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Content Designer to join our team at the Government Project Delivery Hub. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and delivering service and content design work packages to improve the hub's performance and user experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and continuously update the hub design system to align with wider project delivery branding.
- Update content design and webpage design as needed to ensure alignment with the hub design system.
- Upload content as a web administrator, writing basic HTML code when needed.
- Gain a deep understanding of end-to-end user journeys and how content is affected within these journeys.
- Identify areas for improvement and take responsibility for assuring the quality of all published content.
- Work with content owners to design and re-work proposed content to align with content design principles and the design system of the hub.
- Coach and guide content owners to improve content submissions.
- Create and design content that meets the needs of users.
- Ensure that content is regularly reviewed and evaluated, contributing to continuous improvements and iteration.
- Understand the importance of user research and data in informing content design decisions.
- Champion user research and accessibility requirements in content design approaches.
- Choose and use the right tools and methods for content design.
- Apply strategic thinking to provide the best service for end-users.
- Identify and scope functionality improvement opportunities.
- Contract manage suppliers to deliver functionality improvements.
- Be ambitious for the potential of the hub and passionate about continuous professional development.
- Be aware of the latest developments in project delivery within and outside government that might affect content.
- Understand how content design is a critical enabler to the success of the adoption of learning, standards, and guidance.
- Establish effective working relationships across the IPA and the function across government.
The Government Project Delivery Hub is a critical component of the Infrastructure and Projects Authority, responsible for delivering project delivery knowledge and expertise to government departments and agencies. We are committed to improving the way infrastructure and major projects are delivered, and we are seeking a talented Senior Content Designer to join our team.
