About the Role

NMS Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Fibre Planner to join their team. As a Senior Fibre Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing all planning activities in your assigned region, including fibre design staff, civils, and fibre-optic infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design suitable civils and fibre optic infrastructure that are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose, and future-proof.
  • Maintain and update fibre records accurately within your region.
  • Forecast CAPEX and OPEX requirements of designed infrastructure projects.
  • Produce detailed industry-standard documentation of your design.
  • Help develop, implement, and champion network topologies.
  • Drive consistency, quality, suitability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Detailed understanding of all aspects of civils route planning.
  • Detailed understanding of all aspects of fibre planning.
  • Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of survey, installation, and as-built documentation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of lit fibre services.
  • FTTP methodologies and design.
  • Working knowledge of GIS software, APX, GComms, GE Smallworld, or similar.
  • Full understanding of UK local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works.
