Job Title: Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor

At The Workshop, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimise cost and risk while enhancing value for money, ensuring compliance with legal standards and quality requirements.
  • Prepare forecasts, estimates, and costs of work in progress, tracking variations to the contract that may affect costs and time.
  • Produce reports to demonstrate profitability and manage sub-contractors from initial contact to final account, including payments and variations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, construction crews, and stakeholders, preparing reports and analysing numerical data.
  • Stay up-to-date with current building, health, and safety regulations, as well as engineering science, construction, and technology.
  • Utilise computer literacy and proficiency in office and electronic project management programs.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification in a surveying-related subject.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
