As we expand our operations, we are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in plumbing and heating, particularly in reactive maintenance, to enhance our dedicated team.
Position Overview:


In the role of Mechanical Engineer with a plumbing/heating focus in reactive maintenance, you will be tasked with executing prompt and effective repairs and maintenance on plumbing and heating systems within client facilities.

Your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail will be essential in diagnosing problems, proposing suitable solutions, and ensuring the seamless operation of these vital systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond swiftly and efficiently to reactive maintenance requests for plumbing and heating systems across various facilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostics to pinpoint the root causes of issues and formulate appropriate repair strategies.
  • Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments on plumbing and heating apparatus, including pipes, valves, boilers, pumps, radiators, and associated components.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify issues such as leaks, blockages, pressure fluctuations, temperature control challenges, and system failures.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow engineers and technicians to synchronize maintenance efforts and ensure timely task completion.
  • Comply with safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and others.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including repairs conducted, parts utilized, and time spent, for precise record-keeping and reporting.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by effectively communicating with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the services rendered.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a plumbing/heating focus, particularly in reactive maintenance, ideally within a facilities management or similar setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing and heating systems, encompassing components, functions, troubleshooting methods, and repair techniques.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of plumbing and heating equipment.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet stringent deadlines in a dynamic reactive maintenance environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in executing repairs and documenting maintenance activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
