We are in search of a seasoned Team Leader to guide and support a team of Adult Immunisation Facilitators (AIFs). This team is tasked with aiding GP practices in the recall and vaccination of patients for Shingles and Pneumococcal diseases. The Team Leader will be instrumental in ensuring effective oversight, direct management, and supportive care, supervising both field visits and virtual assistance, while advocating for the dissemination of best practices throughout the network.
The Team Leader will oversee a segment of the national AIF team, all of whom are currently located in England. While travel to various sites may be necessary, the majority of the responsibilities will be fulfilled from a home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of AIFs, offering guidance and motivation
- Conduct regular individual meetings and team briefings
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and excellence in service delivery
- Develop and implement strategies to sustain team morale and resilience, particularly in challenging situations
- Oversee the planning and execution of field visits and virtual support sessions for GP practices
- Ensure all interactions are conducted professionally and effectively, addressing the needs of practices and patients
- Identify, document, and share best practices within the team and with GP practices
- Create resources and training materials to enhance the team's expertise in vaccination recall and patient engagement
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in processes and service delivery
- Establish clear performance objectives for the team and individual members, aligned with organizational goals
- Monitor team performance through key metrics, feedback, and regular evaluations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices, GP Federations, ICBs, and other NHS stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant NHS, GDPR, and ABPI guidelines, policies, and procedures
Candidate Experience Required:
- Experience working within Primary Care GP practices and patient recall processes
- Knowledge of immunisation programs and public health initiatives
- People management experience with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Full driver's license (maximum 6 points)
- Right to work in the UK
An Enhanced DBS will be required for this position.
