Position Overview
We are seeking to fill a part-time role for a Senior Forensic Specialist to join our Forensic Child & Adolescent Mental Health Team (FCAMHS) and the Harmful Sexual Behaviour Service for Young Individuals. Our services extend across the Humberside region, collaborating closely with partners throughout Humber and Yorkshire.
We are in search of a seasoned, knowledgeable, and driven professional who is enthusiastic about the opportunity and challenges of working alongside fellow experts in a dynamic forensic environment. Ideal candidates will possess experience in engaging with young individuals and/or in forensic settings. The FCAMHS Team offers a highly specialized service, and you will undergo tailored training as part of a comprehensive induction process. The team is responsible for delivering specialized forensic consultation, assessment, and intervention for children and adolescents exhibiting complex mental health issues and offending/risk behaviors.
We are open to flexible working arrangements throughout the week, although attendance at key team meetings will be required.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Forensic Specialist will serve as a highly skilled clinician, providing a specialized forensic perspective to the assessment and intervention processes for young individuals.
This role will assist operational colleagues and management in the effective delivery of services. The Senior Forensic Specialist will offer professional and clinical guidance to team members and will collaborate closely with regional partners.
You will engage in regular supervision and participate in training as identified through the knowledge skills framework process and individual performance reviews.
The successful candidate must have the ability to travel across various geographical locations.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential
- Professional qualification relevant to the practice area, with education to degree level.
- Registered practitioner with a professional body.
- Comprehensive understanding/application of relevant clinical practices/standards/audit within the identified service area.
Desirable
- Qualification to deliver a mode of therapeutic intervention relevant to the role and service user population.
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to the professional lead area to an advanced level of post-graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning.
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries, developing and maintaining multi-professional and multi-agency partnerships.
- Proven leadership and service development experience.
Desirable
- Advanced management/leadership training/qualification or equivalent experience.
