English Language Moderator Job Description

**Role Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Moderator to join our team at Pearson. As a Moderator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCE A Level English Language examination.

**Responsibilities**

* Moderate centre assessment of candidates' work in accordance with agreed assessment criteria and Pearson's procedures
* Review and provide feedback on centre samples to ensure accuracy and fairness
* Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required

**Requirements**

* One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years and within the relevant qualification and subject
* A degree or equivalent
* Qualified teacher

**Competencies**

* Ability to work well under pressure
* Ability to meet deadlines
* High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme
