Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers and engineers, both in-house and contract employees working remotely.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members to meet the product road map.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of design projects from initial concept through to final implementation.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of design efforts.
  • Design and Development:
  • Study and understand the present product portfolio and identify the development requirements to be aligned with the industry trends.
  • Lead the creation and refinement of product designs, ensuring they meet functional, aesthetic, and user requirements.
  • Develop the Digital Twin platform to integrate all Oxcomm subsystems.
  • Enhance the Oxcomm OXAI models to meet the computer vision requirements of upcoming projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct design reviews and prototype testing to validate and refine concepts.
  • Provide technical support on Oxcomm product portfolio to refine the product offering to match the regulations and needs of the region.
  • Support the business development and sales of Oxcomm products in the region.
  • Provide input / support to enhance R & D and strategy of Oxcomm to develop product range based on advancement in industry.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Communicate with stakeholders from end users to understand the shortcomings in the existing products/sub-systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales and marketing of distribution channel partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa to enhance the portfolio.
  • Verify and prepare the products especially for KSA and UAE considering regional challenges to align design efforts with business goals.
  • Evaluate OEM Contract manufacturing partners in UK to produce Oxcomm products.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strategic Planning and Innovation:
  • Identify and evaluate new design trends, technologies, and methodologies to drive innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term R&D strategies and roadmaps.
  • Assess and implement best practices in design and development processes.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Forecast resource needs and work within budget constraints.
  • Approve and manage expenditures related to design and development activities.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in electrical and Electronics engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification from BICSI is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Digital Twin and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
  • PMP - Project Management Professional trained.
