About the Role

Ramboll is seeking a highly skilled Principal District Energy Engineer to join our District Energy team. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in delivering innovative district heating and cooling projects, from conceptual design to operational performance improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design of low carbon district heating and cooling projects, including feasibility studies, heat network zoning, and hydraulic and energy modeling.
  • Developing technical designs and specifications for district heating and cooling systems.
  • Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled engineer with a strong background in district heating and cooling systems. You will have a good understanding of the UK market and policy environment, as well as experience in the use of packaged software design tools, such as EnergyPro, Termis, and Hysopt.

You will be a strong communicator and team player, with the ability to lead and manage projects and teams. You will also have a good understanding of sustainable development and the role of district heating and cooling in reducing carbon emissions.
