About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal District Energy Engineer to join our team at Ramboll. As a key member of our District Energy Department, you will play a leading role in delivering innovative and sustainable district heating and cooling projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of low-carbon district heating and cooling projects, from conceptual design to operational performance improvement.
  • Undertake and lead design activities, including feasibility studies, heat network zoning, hydraulic and energy modeling, and technical design and specification development.
  • Support the development of junior engineers and consultants, promoting a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in district energy engineering. You will have a good understanding of the UK market and policy environment, as well as experience in the use of packaged software design tools, such as EnergyPro, Termis, Hysopt, AutoCAD, and GIS.

You will be a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status within a recognized Professional Institution. You will also have experience in design lead and task/project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
