Digital Systems Architect

Forseven, a pioneering company, is seeking a Systems Engineer - Digital Architecture to join our dynamic Engineering Team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Concurrently engineer software architectures, functions distribution, and vehicle networks for our EV vehicles, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to develop a model-based understanding of systems architecture, focusing on user experience and system interactions.
- Own vehicle networks and data signals, defining and maintaining them to ensure effective communication between software-controlled distributed functions.
- Work with key technology partners to build a deep understanding of communication systems in automotive zonal architectures, ensuring complex distributed functions meet performance and safety requirements.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of zonal architecture, including digital and computational technologies, and provide cross-vehicle domain support to ensure common understanding of system capabilities and limitations.
- Collaborate with the Architectures Management team to ensure solutions align with the overall vehicle Electrical Architecture and technical roadmaps, meeting quality, safety, security, and legal requirements.
- Use engineering design artefacts and system logs to perform impact and root cause analyses, working with stakeholders and domain experts to ensure timely solutions.
- Manage engineering changes and issues throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Relevant experience in systems engineering, delivering programs in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or e-mobility engineering environments.
- Demonstrable understanding of software and electrical architectures, including vehicle zonal architectures or equivalent topologies, and state-of-the-art computational and network technologies.
- Demonstrable experience with relevant network technologies and protocols, signal databases, and network data analysis tools.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering methods and tools, such as SysML, Capella, ArchiMate, and Preevision.
- Experience of project or systems engineering with Tier 1 suppliers and technology partners, preparation of technical documentation.
- Experience of delivery within lean and/or agile engineering frameworks and tools, and full product lifecycle activities.
- Experience with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity standards, and familiarity with regulatory compliance processes, would be advantageous.
- Possession of a Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or similar honours degree.
- Full driving license is essential, and no visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling abroad.
