About the Role

Apleona UK is seeking a dynamic Senior EHS Specialist to drive our commitment to environmental, health and safety excellence. This pivotal role ensures compliance and promotes a culture of safety across our operations and our life science client operations in the Wirral.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and support impactful EHS programs.
  • Support our IFM team, contractors, and client to achieve a zero-accident culture and maintain our exemplary EHS record.
  • Influence EHS policy and create a safe place to work and visit.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical or Regulated Compliant Environment.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Occupational Hygiene EHS preferably in a Lab I GxP Pharmaceutical Environment.
  • Level 3 or above Health and Safety practitioner (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
  • A foundation level or above Environment qualification.
  • Experience of working in cGMP & cGDP environments.
  • Knowledge of Facilities Management - soft and hard services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to ensure our client receives the best service all the time.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Experience of dealing with site waste (general & Hazardous), documentation and compliance.
