Main Purpose of the Role

To support, develop, and coordinate various areas of activity within the Fundraising team at Retina UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with stewardship of fundraising supporters across income areas, maintaining and improving supporter retention and engagement.
  2. Utilize the charity database, conduct regular analysis, generate reports, ensure fundraising records and folders are accurate and up-to-date, and provide regular feedback to the Senior Fundraising Manager.
  3. Support with and coordinate seasonal raffles, distribution of mail-outs, and merchandise, and manage stock levels.
  4. Conduct regular supporter research to ensure Retina UK remains innovative with fundraising activities.
  5. Liaise with venues, supporters, exhibitors, and attendees ahead of fundraising events and activities.
  6. Thank supporters in the appropriate manner and update and refresh supporter letter templates quarterly to effectively communicate the value of donor contributions.
  7. Take a proactive approach in guiding supporters and potential fundraisers on how they can be involved with Retina UK.
  8. Offer clear advice on fundraising opportunities and ensure incoming enquiries are directed to relevant activities that align with their interests and needs.
  9. Work collaboratively to maintain an efficient and practical admin system. Arrange, attend, and take minutes at fundraising team meetings as and when required.

  • Minimum of 1 year working in a similar role (E)

  • Educated to A-level standard or commensurate experience (E)
  • IT literate and highly adept in the use of MS Office Suite (E)
