Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager

We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to become a pivotal part of our team at Kier Group. This role is crucial as we embark on significant projects that demand exceptional commercial oversight and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will oversee high-value projects, ensuring that all commercial aspects are meticulously managed from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating the financial viability of projects during the initial phases.
  • Structuring projects into manageable work packages for procurement, while assessing contractor returns and awarding contracts.
  • Engaging in negotiations with subcontractors to secure optimal value.
  • Managing payment applications from subcontractors and preparing client payment requests.
  • Tracking and analyzing actual expenditures against budgeted figures through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports (CVR).

What We Seek:
This position is ideal for candidates who can demonstrate:
  • Experience with large-scale two-stage bids (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contract frameworks.
  • Previous experience in main contracting environments.
  • A proven history of successfully delivering high-value projects, particularly those valued up to £100M.
