Art Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Art teacher to join our team at a wonderful school in Brent. As an Art teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture students' creative abilities in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging art lessons to students of various age groups, fostering a love for creativity and artistic expression.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to express their creativity.
  • Guide and inspire students in developing their artistic skills, techniques, and understanding of art history and theory.
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' progress, offering constructive criticism and praise to foster growth.
  • Plan and organize art activities, projects, and exhibitions to showcase students' work to the wider school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with the school's vision and goals.
  • Stay updated with advancements in art education and incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies into lessons.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience as an Art teacher, preferably in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Creative, innovative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize lessons, activities, and exhibitions.
