Senior Operations Officer - Diocese of Exeter

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Officer to join our team in Exeter. As a key member of our diocesan offices, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring that policies and practices are up to date in relation to health and safety and data protection compliance.

The ideal candidate will have excellent planning and administration skills, combined with practical problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a sense of humour. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive and efficient working environment for all.

This is a newly created position, grant funded by the Archbishops' Council, which will last for two years. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a vital foundation in enabling the wider diocesan team to deliver support to parishes through our vision to 'Grow in prayer, make new disciples and Serve the People of Devon with joy'.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the diocesan offices
  • Ensure policies and practices are up to date in relation to health and safety and data protection compliance
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient working environment for all
  • Support the wider diocesan team in delivering support to parishes

Requirements:

  • Experience in operations management or a related field
  • Excellent planning and administration skills
  • Practical problem-solving abilities
  • Communication skills
  • A sense of humour

Salary: £31,500 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Exeter

Contract: 2 year Fixed Term contract
