Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our team. This role is essential in overseeing all quality-related activities within designated project work packages, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, internal management systems, regulatory standards, and legal frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and evaluate all quality-related activities and performance within assigned project work packages.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of the project quality plan.
  • Implement a Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) quality management strategy.
  • Provide quality assurance and control across various supply chain activities, including risk assessments and QA/QC strategy formulation for supplier management.
  • Coordinate inspection assignments, resource selection, and manage quality control service delivery.
  • Monitor and track quality control inspection expenditures and budget compliance.
  • Support the achievement of Subsea 7's performance objectives.
  • Facilitate project performance enhancement by fostering effective relationships within project and operational teams, as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Conduct project quality performance reviews, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to escalate quality issues, ensuring thorough reporting and investigation of failure events using recognized Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
  • Perform quality discipline reviews on engineering and operational documents, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
  • Engage with internal experts to ensure quality requirements are met during discipline reviews.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings to support quality initiatives.
  • Assist in developing the Master Document Register (MDR) to include all quality deliverables for assigned work packages.
  • Contribute to the creation of quality deliverables, including quality plans and inspection test plans.
  • Support the execution of the audit program within assigned project work packages.
  • Provide quality support for project reviews, including engineering and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate quality training and deliverables for project teams.
  • Assist in managing interface and change processes, ensuring traceability and verification.
  • Contribute quality insights to project reports.
  • Engage in proactive quality lessons learned documentation and sharing.
  • Support the delivery of as-built packages in collaboration with various teams.

  • Proven knowledge and application of quality management principles in projects and operations.
  • Familiarity with quality standards in the Renewables, Oil and Gas, or Heavy Industry sectors is advantageous.
  • Understanding of UK Renewables work packages is beneficial.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9000 Series and BS EN 10204.
  • Experience with contractual mechanisms and technical standards in the UK Renewables or Oil and Gas sectors is preferred.
  • Experience in incident investigation and reporting using root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to represent the quality discipline in project and operational team settings.
  • Qualified internal auditor.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to work.
