About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plastics Trauma Nurse Practitioner / Coordinator to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and autonomous individual to excel in a specialist field of trauma nursing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient flow for Plastics, hand trauma, and frames from admission to discharge, ensuring timely and compassionate care.
  • Develop and implement standards and protocols to optimize patient pathways, improve patient outcomes, and enhance staff education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient theatre lists and patient flow.
  • Contribute to the development of quality and safety initiatives across the patient's journey.
Requirements
  • NMC registration.
  • Leadership and management training or skills.
  • Completed Plastics module or relevant clinical experience.
  • Postgraduate degree or Masters in specialty.
  • Complex plastics wound management.
  • Teaching and assessing of junior nursing staff.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Advanced level of knowledge in trauma, orthopaedic, and plastics nursing principles.
  • Competent in nursing management of free flaps.
  • Clinical expertise in the field.
