We are seeking skilled professionals to help us achieve our ambitious objectives. The successful candidates will be engaged in:

Evaluating Advanced AI Systems: Conduct assessments on the safety and security of cutting-edge AI technologies, focusing on their societal implications.Innovating AI Governance Tools: Develop practical frameworks and methodologies to evaluate the impacts of advanced AI systems and predict future safety research needs.Facilitating Collaborative Efforts: Establish effective communication channels between our department and various stakeholders, including policymakers and international partners.

Our team comprises experienced professionals from leading tech companies and academic institutions. We are looking for top-tier talent to contribute to our mission of enhancing AI safety on a global scale.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidates will join our Safeguard Analysis Team, which focuses on evaluating the vulnerabilities of advanced AI systems. The responsibilities include:

Conducting research on emerging threats to AI systems and their security.Analyzing information security protocols to identify potential weaknesses.Developing strategies to control and mitigate risks associated with AI misuse.Executing evaluations to measure the effectiveness of protective measures in AI systems.

We are hiring at various levels of expertise, including senior positions. The final title and compensation will be determined during the recruitment process.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical research related to machine learning, computer security, or information security. We encourage applications from individuals with diverse experiences and expertise.

Key qualifications include:

Experience in relevant fields such as AI, machine learning, or cybersecurity.Proficiency in programming, particularly in Python.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Familiarity with large language models and their applications.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.A commitment to enhancing scientific and technical standards within the team.

Core Requirements

Availability to work a minimum of four days per week.Commitment to a minimum duration of twelve months.
