Manufacturing Engineer Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our market-leading business in Morley. Due to company growth and expansion, we are looking for a skilled professional to develop and maintain production processes and procedures across Fabrication and/or assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain production processes and procedures across Fabrication and/or assembly operations
  • Lead and implement process improvement activities to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Support new product introduction, ensuring effective collaboration between relevant departments
  • Gather relevant production data throughout the New Product Development process
  • Support the introduction of the product at the concept phase and through production ramp-up
  • Maintain production process documentation
  • Design and/or implement tools and Equipment to improve the production process
  • Design and implement production flow lines, factory floorplans and modular workstations
  • Contribute to the Design for Manufacture process
  • Identify areas for producibility and quality improvements in assembly, test and product design
Requirements:
  • HNC or HND or Degree in mechanical engineering or similar with experience in a bespoke fabrication & assembly environment
  • The ability to generate clear production assembly work instructions
  • Experience of developing production flow lines
  • General knowledge in areas of root cause corrective action, lean and project planning
  • Experience in Mechanical CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo or similar packages
