Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist to become a vital part of our team at Culina Group on a full-time permanent basis.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring precise inventory management, reconciling physical stock with system records, identifying discrepancies, and addressing any non-compliance issues.

Compensation: £23,547 per annum.

Working Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

Key Responsibilities of an Inventory Control Specialist:

  • Maintain an independent, accurate, and up-to-date inventory record.
  • Resolve discrepancies between anticipated and actual stock levels as they arise.
  • Generate disposal orders and ensure all customers are notified upon completion.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the warehouse team to resolve inventory issues.
  • Update and maintain records of shortages for next-day deliveries, ensuring relevant departments are informed.
  • Report any potentially short-dated stock to customers and seek guidance prior to dispatch.
  • Address customer inventory inquiries professionally and assist them with their stock information.
  • Support stock audits as required.
  • Update daily records of empty pallets for all ins and outs.
  • Ensure all product transfers are communicated promptly to meet customer requests.

Required Qualifications

  • A clear-thinking, logical, and disciplined approach to work.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient IT skills, including a solid understanding of spreadsheets.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and persistence in finding solutions.
  • Previous experience in stock control is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication skills.
