Mechanical Engineer Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at The City Recruiter. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and components that meet our client's needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems, components, or products, working on a wide range of projects from consumer goods to industrial machinery.
- Analysis and Simulation: Conduct analysis and simulations to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems, utilizing tools such as finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes of mechanical systems or components for testing and validation, ensuring that they meet our client's requirements.
- CAD Modeling and Drafting: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings, models, and schematics of mechanical components or systems.
- Material Selection and Specification: Select appropriate materials for mechanical components based on factors such as strength, durability, and cost.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide support to manufacturing teams during the production of mechanical components or systems, troubleshooting production issues and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other engineers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems meet project requirements and objectives.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that mechanical systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and other resources required for the design, development, and production of mechanical systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation such as design specifications, technical reports, and engineering change orders, communicating project status and updates to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in mechanical designs, processes, and systems.
- Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management, coordinating the activities of multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
