**Job Title:** Study Skills Support Assistant

**Grwp Llandrillo Menai** is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Study Skills Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive study skills support to learners, working as part of the ALN Team to deliver a high-quality service.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. **Support and Advise Learners:** Provide individualized support and guidance to learners in acquiring skills dependent on their needs, promoting independent learning and academic success.
  2. **Learning Resource Development:** Develop and maintain learning resources within the Study Centre and program areas, ensuring accessibility and relevance to learners' needs.
  3. **Collaboration with Teaching Staff:** Work closely with teaching staff to adopt and apply an inclusive approach to study skills within their teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  4. **Learner Progress Monitoring:** Record learner attendance, targets, and progress in accordance with college procedures, and assist teaching staff in monitoring and reviewing learner progress.
  5. **Referral and Escalation:** Escalate and refer concerns to the Personal Tutor as appropriate, and liaise with academic and support staff to ensure appropriate referrals for further support are made.
  6. **ILT Integration:** Assist with the development and integration of ILT projects and strategies into the curriculum, ensuring seamless delivery and learner engagement.
  7. **Data Provision:** Provide data to the Learning Support Co-ordinator/Team Leader and ALN Grwp Manager as requested, supporting informed decision-making and service improvement.
  8. **Additional Duties:** Undertake any other duties and comply with reasonable instruction as requested by your line manager, Assistant Principal, or Principal.

**Requirements:** The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners, teaching staff, and other stakeholders. A strong understanding of study skills and learning support principles is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

**Working Arrangements:** The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including some evening and Saturday working, with compensatory time off during the week.
