Location: Jarrow

Role Overview:

Quantity Surveyor required for a leading construction company specialising in piling and foundations. On offer is a role with fantastic benefits and opportunities for further career development and training with funding towards this.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-contract and pre-start meetings to ensure the most favourable terms of contract are secured.
  • Inform client of any variations and agree extra costs and final accounts in a timely manner.
  • Reporting and preparation of sub-contractor payments and forecasts.
  • Check purchase ledger subcontract accounts.
  • Generate timely applications, invoices and final accounts, to meet client deadlines, ensuring that cash flow is always paramount. This includes preparation of information in support of all claims and variation work.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors working for the company to fully comply with back-to-back terms of business.

The Successful Quantity Surveyor:

Requirements:

  1. Quantity surveying experience including measurement, valuation, CVR & change management.
  2. Experience of JCT and NEC forms of contract or equivalent.
  3. Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying or equivalent qualification in law and/or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  4. Extensive project experience.
