Job Title: Community Mental Health Specialist - Band 6
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients in their own environments, providing personalized care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to patients, assessing their needs and providing support to ensure their well-being.
- Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and maintaining a safe environment for patients.
- Engage in meaningful conversations with patients to understand their conditions, track progress, and provide empathetic support.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential risks to patients and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
Requirements:
- Active NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
- Proven experience working within community settings, with a focus on eating disorders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.
- A full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
