We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Duty Officer - Young People's Care at the Good Shepherd Secure Unit. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective running of our care services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the safe running of the centre across all staff teams and working patterns.
- Ensure the safe running of the centre when Care and Education Managers are not present.
- Support, coordinate, and manage the running of the care services across the Houses of GSC.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize teams outwith the working hours of House Management.
- Support the delivery of care and support our young people in a safe, secure, positive, and nurturing environment.
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people.
- Commitment to upholding and promoting Children's Rights.
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Social Care and the Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Caring for Children and Young People at Level 4 or above, or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a registered supervisor within the first three months of employment.
