Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Assistant to join our team in Plymouth and surrounding areas. As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the optometrist and carrying out a full dispense visiting patients in care homes and patients' own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the optometrist in carrying out eye examinations and dispensing spectacles
  • Visit patients in care homes and patients' own homes to carry out fittings and aftercare
  • Work independently to carry out tasks as required
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with patients
  • Work as part of a team to achieve excellent patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Optical Assistant or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident driver with a full driving licence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
