About the Role

PepsiCo is seeking a highly skilled General Operator to join our team at the Walkers site in Skelmersdale. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring high safety and quality standards, and contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain machinery, ensuring health and safety compliance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Understand and interpret numerical data, communicating machine performance to the team
  • Cover for colleagues' absences and maintain high safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
  • Proactively escalate issues outside of the General Operator remit to the wider shift team
Requirements
  • Confident communicator with a positive self-starter attitude and a focus on results
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn how to operate equipment in an autonomous role
  • Basic numerical, reading, analytical, and computer skills
  • Organized and methodical person with the ability to solve basic problems
