About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Operator to join our team at PepsiCo's Skelmersdale manufacturing site. As a General Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory floor, working closely with our production team to meet our high standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain complex machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and meet health and safety standards.
  • Monitor and analyze numerical data to identify trends and areas for improvement, communicating findings to the production team.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absences and support the team in maintaining high safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
  • Proactively escalate issues outside of your remit to the wider shift team for assistance.
Requirements
  • Confident communicator with a positive self-starter attitude, focused on results.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn how to operate equipment in an autonomous role.
  • Basic numerical, reading, analytical, and computer skills.
  • Organized and methodical person, able to work under pressure.
  • Flexible and proactive person with the ability to solve basic problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • A technical understanding and familiarity of machinery.
