Claim Handler

We are seeking a skilled Claim Handler to join our team in Manchester or Redhill on a permanent basis. As a Claim Handler, you will be responsible for handling property claims, analyzing policy coverage, and negotiating settlements in accordance with company guidelines and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
- Investigate assigned claims to determine the extent of damage or loss.
- Negotiate and settle claims proactively, ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
- Reserve claims accurately, taking into account company guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure that company service standards are upheld, providing excellent customer service and communication.
- Maintain accurate data and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
- Authorize claim payments and reserves within agreed claims handling authority.
- Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
- Some prior insurance-related activity experience (e.g. paralegal, insurance operations, insurance broker).
- Intermediate communication skills, business perspective, and ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Intermediate ability to think analytically and strategically, exercise sound judgment, and decision-making.
- Advanced customer focus and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Private Medical Insurance: Eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for dependents.
