Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Band 6 Nurse Consultant specializing in skin cancer to become a vital member of our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative and experienced group.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing a designated caseload of skin cancer patients, providing guidance and support throughout their care journey.
- Demonstrating exceptional communication skills to offer advice and information from the initial diagnosis through to treatment.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with external cancer centers to ensure comprehensive patient assessments.
- Facilitating skin cancer support groups and contributing to the creation of up-to-date patient resources.
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Registered Nurse (Level 1) status.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- A willingness to engage in necessary training.
Desirable Qualifications
Post-registration qualifications in a relevant specialty are preferred.
Skills and Attributes
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
