Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially astute Airfreight Pricing Coordinator to join our growing logistics team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working closely with our airfreight operational teams to ensure smooth handovers of secured shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and analyze customer quotations from various sources, including online portals and email.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic tariffs to ensure effective workload and ensure they are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Monitor carrier websites and notifications to stay informed about market developments.
  • Collaborate with airfreight operational teams to ensure seamless handovers of secured shipments.

Requirements:

  • Industry knowledge of airfreight, including inbound, outbound, and cross-trade operations.
  • Understanding of how to influence profitability through effective pricing.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Dangerous Goods knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, with experience in Cargowise a plus.
  • Proactive, team-oriented individual with excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated.
