Physiotherapist Functional Assessor Role

As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will play a vital role in understanding the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving chronic pain disorders and neurological, physical, and mental health conditions, using your clinical expertise to help customers move forward with their lives.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical knowledge and assessment skills. You will conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a person's disability or health condition and produce detailed reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life
  • Produce high-quality reports to support the DWP's decision-making process
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through ongoing training and support

Requirements

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
