Senior Buyer - World Foods

We're seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our World Foods team at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd. As a key member of our Buying Teams, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product range and driving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for our customers.
  • Manage multi-temperature state categories across Grocery, Chilled & Frozen, ensuring we deliver the best quality ranges and value to our customers.
  • Analyse financial, market, and customer data to inform buying decisions and drive business growth.
  • Influence key stakeholders across the business to drive engagement and commitment to our World Foods strategy.
  • Deliver ambitious market-leading events propositions, working effectively cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in owning and delivering successful buying & selling strategies.
  • High levels of resilience and adaptability, with a strong commercial acumen and drive to make things better.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
  • Experience in delivering successful commercial and customer outcomes from complex negotiations.
