About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Logistics Engineer to join our team at the Logistics Operations Centre (LOC) Solihull. As a key member of our Global Manufacturing Engineering Logistics team, you will play a pivotal role in defining and improving the future state of our Manufacturing Logistics value stream.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document comprehensive logistics planning standards and procedures across our automotive manufacturing facilities.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process maps, flowcharts, work instructions, and training materials, to support the implementation and adherence to logistics standards.
- Provide training and support to logistics personnel on the implementation and adherence to documented standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established logistics standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the Strategy and Standards Lead to drive the creation and maintenance of a "Model Plant" vision for logistics operations, ensuring consistency and alignment across global manufacturing facilities.
Requirements
- Experience in developing and documenting standard operating procedures and best practices within a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, including material handling, warehousing, and production logistics.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Visio, and process mapping software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and manufacturing operations is a plus.
- Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on driving process efficiency.
