Specialist Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist

About Us:
Words First Ltd is dedicated to enhancing children's educational experiences through effective communication support. We are expanding our multidisciplinary team and are looking for passionate Speech and Language Therapists to make a difference in the lives of children.
Role Overview:
As a Specialist Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing tailored therapy services for a diverse caseload of children with varying needs. Your work will take place across multiple educational settings, ensuring that each child receives the support they require to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized therapy sessions to children in mainstream and specialist educational environments.
- Collaborate with educational staff and other professionals to create a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Maintain a manageable caseload, providing services in up to five schools within a reasonable distance.
- Engage in regular supervision and mentoring to enhance your professional skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrates reliability and strong interpersonal skills.
- Possesses a genuine enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exhibits adaptability, patience, and empathy in their approach.
- Communicates effectively and has robust report writing abilities.
- Holds over four years of experience in pediatric speech and language therapy, ideally within educational settings.
- Shows a keen interest in developing expertise in specific therapeutic areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Full HCPC registration or in the process of obtaining it.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.
