Position Overview: Our esteemed Local Authority client is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is designed for those with a solid background in civil litigation, particularly within the realm of local government.

Work Arrangement: The position allows for remote work, with mandatory in-office attendance on a monthly basis. Compensation is competitive and will be determined based on post-qualification experience (PQE).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a comprehensive caseload of civil litigation matters, including but not limited to Education Law, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and judicial reviews from inception to conclusion.
  • Delivering expert guidance on the management of intricate and contentious legal challenges.
  • Drafting and negotiating various legal documents and agreements.
  • Representing the Council in a variety of hearings and tribunal proceedings, including SEN tribunals and contested final hearings.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in Local Government law is essential.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time commitment of 37 hours per week.
  • Standard working days are Monday through Friday.
