Role Summary:

As an Instrumentation and Control Specialist, you will be an integral member of our Maintenance team, tasked with upholding the highest standards in the upkeep of plant and equipment. Your expertise is crucial in maintaining operational availability and dependability, particularly as we investigate decarbonization strategies such as carbon capture and hydrogen solutions. Key Duties:

  • Conduct thorough maintenance on plant and equipment to reduce defects and enhance operational availability.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the Maintenance division and among external contractors.
  • Oversee the maintenance of critical control and instrumentation areas in accordance with established maintenance plans and industry best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate contractor activities as required.

Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A background in Controls/Process through an Apprenticeship, C&G's, or ONC/HNC level in Control and Instrumentation, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in industrial plant maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience with control and instrumentation systems, including process measurement devices, pneumatic control valves, PLCs, and industrial communication networks.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety regulations (IOSH or NEBOSH certification is a plus).
