In line with their growth strategy, they are looking for a Lead Innovation Strategist to assist the Director of Innovation in enhancing their product and service offerings.



Position Overview:

As a Lead Innovation Strategist, you will be instrumental in aiding the Director of Innovation to spearhead the creation and delivery of new, lucrative products and services.

You will oversee partnerships with external software providers, respond to client inquiries, and manage the onboarding process for new clients. This role demands a combination of technical insight, business acumen, and operational expertise.

Collaborate with the Director of Innovation to cultivate and expand a portfolio of innovative products and services aimed at generating additional revenue streams.

Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, legal, compliance, and client-facing teams to ensure cohesive and aligned efforts.
Identify and assess emerging technologies that can enhance business value.
Facilitate the commercialization of innovations, including the formulation and execution of market entry strategies.
Develop plans for technology commercialization, focusing on early-stage strategies and validating value propositions.
Establish and nurture relationships with potential technology collaborators and support marketing initiatives to generate interest in new offerings.
Negotiate commercial contracts with vendors, partners, and clients.
Prepare comprehensive business plans and implement execution strategies.
Assess new innovations and business prospects for their commercial viability, including conducting market research and competitive analysis.
Create project plans and carry out activities that generate evidence to enhance innovation value and progress innovation projects towards commercialization.
Supervise solution experiments, product prototyping, and validation testing.
Manage external software partners to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
Address client inquiries and deliver exceptional customer service.
Hold a degree/MSc or possess sufficient relevant commercial experience.
Experience in an incubator/startup/innovation environment within a medium to large global organization, preferably in financial services.
Practical experience in designing and developing data-driven digital products and monetizing them with clients.

Proficient in testing new propositions using agile, design thinking, and lean methodologies for user engagement throughout the development process.

Strong project management and change management capabilities, coupled with a proactive attitude and the determination to see ideas through to fruition.

Experience in innovation scouting and ideally within an innovation team/hub/lab/function.

Highly developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to cultivate and develop relationships with potential technology partners, colleagues, collaborators, and clients.

Comfortable creating financial models for business cases and funding requests.
Legal or contractual experience with a clear understanding of licenses and/or collaboration agreements.
Experience in growth and innovation, with strong examples of expanding businesses by creating and delivering innovative propositions.
Experience in intellectual property generation and protection, structural partnership formations, and commercial collaborations is highly desirable.
