The Product Category Strategist will be responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding of various product segments, ensuring a robust assortment that meets customer needs while supporting promotional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to curate a compelling product assortment that resonates with our clientele.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to identify new product opportunities through effective benchmarking and industry analysis.
- Source and introduce innovative products to enhance existing categories and address emerging market demands.
- Engage with suppliers and manufacturers, including international travel to establish and nurture relationships.
- Ensure product quality and compliance with relevant standards through collaboration with Quality Assurance teams.
- Document and share detailed product information across departments to maintain consistency in presentation.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Sales teams to optimize product availability and inventory management.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of product applications and quality standards to better serve our end-users.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role such as Category Manager, Product Specialist, or Purchasing Manager.
- Background in the tools industry is preferred.
- Experience managing a diverse range of SKUs is advantageous.
- Familiarity with retail or catalogue sales environments is beneficial.
- Ability to commute to our office location.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience, along with 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and a day off for your birthday. Additional benefits include a pension plan.
