About the Role

The Aurora Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy House Manager to join our team at Foxes, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of staff to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of students in your care.
  • Work collaboratively with the House Team Leader to motivate students and support them to make substantial and sustained progress.
  • Set high professional standards and lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage student behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with other Deputy House Managers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and support.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Education and Training, Health and Social Care, or a related field.
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and a strong understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work shift patterns, including weekends, and be flexible to meet the needs of the team.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
