We are in search of a seasoned
LGV Testing Operations Manager
to enhance our operations in Cramlington.
Reporting directly to the Logistics Director, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our testing facility and workshop.
Core Responsibilities:
Workshop Oversight:
Direct daily activities, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity in the maintenance and repair of LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles.
Sales & Business Growth:
Foster expansion through strategic business initiatives and effective sales strategies.
Financial Management:
Oversee budgets and manage expenses, ensuring financial prudence.
Health & Safety Standards:
Implement strict health and safety protocols within the workshop environment.
Client Engagement:
Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring top-notch fleet maintenance services.
Workload Coordination:
Organize and schedule workloads, including the management of the ATF lane.
Supplier Relations:
Engage with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing on parts and services.
Invoicing Management:
Supervise and ensure the efficient operation of invoicing processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Commercial Acumen:
Demonstrated success in business development and sales.
Leadership Experience:
Prior experience in managing a workshop, particularly in the LGV, PCV, and Light Commercial Vehicle sectors.
Team Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
Communication Proficiency:
Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
Technical Skills:
Competent in IT, with the capability to manage invoicing and other digital systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a Category C or C&E driving license is advantageous but not essential.
