About the Role

You will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for managing and leading the maintenance strategy, including capital expenditure, engineering projects, and resource planning. This is a newly created role to support large-scale improvement projects for an independent manufacturing business with several sites across the UK, employing over 300 people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, reviewing processes, procedures, and standards across site.
  • Implement change while maintaining a high level of standards, safety, and quality output.
  • Support cross-functional departments in delivering their objectives, ensuring all necessary housekeeping standards are achieved.
  • Lead the maintenance strategy for planned preventative and reactive maintenance to actively reduce downtime.
  • Manage contractors and third-party suppliers, ensuring a safety-first and compliant environment across site and with third parties.

Requirements

As an experienced senior engineering manager, you will have proven and extensive experience in managing maintenance strategies, leading engineering projects, and controlling budgets. You will have a strong track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing change while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
