We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to join our team at RSD Technology. As an experienced professional in hydraulic systems maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic and pressure systems maintenance, with a deep understanding of associated legislative compliance. A minimum of HNC level 4 or equivalent in mechanical engineering is required, although a craft apprenticeship or modern apprenticeship certificate is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and coordinate hydraulic maintenance activities to minimize production delays.
  2. Manage the activities carried out by Tata engineering craft & contractors.
  3. Assist in reducing hydraulic oil consumption by minimizing oil loss.
  4. Act as the senior responsible person for the fluid power permitry, including carrying out a 3-year review of authorized personnel.
  5. Manage contract labor to carry out maintenance activities during normal operation, down shift, or major stops.
  6. Manage maintenance of CRP hydraulic equipment, accumulators, and components to maintain PSSR compliance.
  7. Manage all work through the SAP system to maintain records of maintenance tasks and build maintenance history.
  8. Develop upgrades and improvements to enhance reliability and combat equipment obsolescence issues.
  9. Procure labor, tools, mobile plant, and equipment as identified by planned maintenance tasks or events.
  10. Review and author safe working procedures.
  11. Carry out monthly departmental fluid power audits and report centrally.
  12. Manage contract labor through PBS/CAT1 systems.
  13. Carry out Safety Audits as per schedule and on time.

Person Specification/Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of hydraulic systems maintenance and associated legislative compliance, as well as extensive working experience in the same. We offer support in developing professional qualifications through an established internal development center.
