About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Primary Care team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care in our community pharmacies, GP practices, and care homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medication management services to patients in primary care settings
  • Work closely with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing initiatives
  • Collaborate with pharmacy teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy services in primary care
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician qualification (NVQ3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent)
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence and affect change
  • Experience working in primary care or as part of a multidisciplinary team (desirable)
